How It Works
Circulation & Skimming
Pool water is continuously circulated by the pool pump, drawing water from surface skimmers and main drains to remove floating debris, oils, and contaminants before filtration.
Sand Filtration
Circulating water passes through a high-rate sand filter, removing suspended particles, algae, and debris down to 20–30 microns. Filters are backwashed periodically to remove accumulated solids.
Disinfection
Chlorine (liquid, tablet, or salt-generated) is dosed to maintain a free chlorine residual of 1–3 ppm, killing bacteria and preventing algae growth. Ozone or UV is used to reduce chlorine demand and destroy chloramines.
pH & Alkalinity Control
Automated pH controllers dose acid (HCl or CO₂) or alkali (soda ash) to maintain pH at 7.2–7.6, ensuring maximum disinfection efficacy and swimmer comfort.
ORP Monitoring
An ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) sensor continuously monitors the disinfection power of the pool water, triggering automatic chlorine dosing when ORP drops below the set point.
Return to Pool
Treated, disinfected water is returned to the pool through return inlets positioned to ensure uniform distribution and circulation throughout the pool volume.
