Solar Power System for Water Treatment
Solar power systems designed specifically for water treatment plants — reduce electricity costs by 60–80%, achieve energy independence, and meet sustainability goals with clean solar energy.
Overview
Water treatment plants are significant electricity consumers — pumps, blowers, UV systems, and control panels run continuously. Solar power systems can offset 60–80% of a water treatment plant's electricity consumption, dramatically reducing operating costs and carbon footprint. Aquatic Solutions supplies on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar power systems specifically designed and sized for water treatment applications.
We supply complete solar power systems including Tier-1 monocrystalline solar panels, string inverters or microinverters, MPPT charge controllers, battery banks (for off-grid and hybrid systems), net metering connections, and monitoring systems. Our solar systems are designed by experienced engineers who understand the specific power demand profiles of water treatment plants — including high starting currents of pumps and blowers.

How It Works
Solar Energy Generation
Monocrystalline solar panels convert sunlight into DC electricity. Panel output varies with irradiance, temperature, and shading — MPPT technology continuously optimises energy harvest.
DC to AC Conversion
A string inverter or microinverter converts DC electricity from the solar panels to AC electricity (230V / 415V, 50 Hz) compatible with the water treatment plant's electrical system.
Power Distribution
Solar-generated AC power is fed into the plant's main distribution board, powering pumps, blowers, UV systems, and control panels. Excess solar power is exported to the grid (on-grid systems) or stored in batteries (hybrid systems).
Battery Storage (Hybrid/Off-grid)
In hybrid and off-grid systems, excess solar energy is stored in a battery bank during the day. The battery powers the plant during night-time hours or grid outages, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
Grid Interaction (On-grid)
On-grid systems draw power from the grid when solar generation is insufficient (night, cloudy days) and export excess solar power to the grid through a net meter, earning credits against electricity bills.
Monitoring & Reporting
A real-time monitoring system tracks solar generation, plant consumption, battery state of charge, and grid import/export — accessible via web dashboard and mobile app for performance optimisation.
